Donald W. Stanley, Jr. was born in Detroit, Michigan. He is a graduate of the University of Delaware (B.S. 1974) and of Stetson University College of Law (J.D. 1977). He was admitted to practice in Florida in 1977 and is also admitted to the Bar of the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida, United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. He is rated (AV) by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory.

Mr. Stanley is a member of the Florida Bar and the Hillsborough County Bar Association. He served as President of the Hillsborough County Bar Association from 2006 – 2007. He has been a Master of the Tampa Bay Inns of Court (Officer, 1995 – 2002) and is a Certified State and Federal Mediator.

Mr. Stanley serves as General Counsel to the Gainesville-Alachua County Regional Airport Authority. He has been lead trial counsel in both Plaintiff and Defense work, and a major portion of his practice over the past thirty-five years has been devoted to litigation of all types. Currently, Mr. Stanley devotes a substantial portion of his time to construction litigation representing general contractors and owners. Mr. Stanley’s experience includes a substantial role in a wide spectrum of litigation ranging from the simple slip and fall case to complex multi-jurisdictional product liability cases, including medical devices, automobiles, construction and other appliance cases. Additionally, he is experienced in legal and medical malpractice, health law, common carrier liability and general liability claims, ad valorem taxation and public agency representation.

Mr. Stanley also specializes in mediation and arbitration. The majority of this practice relates to complex litigation, construction and corporate litigation disputes.
