Gary Walker is a graduate of Delta State University (B.A. 1972 with Honors), Florida State University (M.S. 1975 with Honors; J.D. 1978 with Honors). He was a member of Phi Delta Phi, Omicron Delta Kappa, and the Moot Court Team. He is rated AV by the Martindale-Hubble Law Directory.

Mr. Walker was admitted to practice in Florida in 1978, and is admitted to the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida; the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Mr. Walker's practice focuses on representing healthcare organizations and providers in corporate, regulatory and operational matters. He has extensive experience in fraud and abuse prevention; regulatory compliance; licensure and certification; Medicare and Medicaid certification, reimbursement and audits; professional staff issues; managed care and provider contract negotiation; mergers, acquisitions and affiliations; and employment and other corporate agreements.

Mr. Walker serves as Treasurer of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, and has previously served as Chair of the Health Law Section. He also served on the Executive Council of the Health Law Section of the Florida Bar, and is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the Florida Academy of Health Care Attorneys, and the Corporate Section of The Florida Bar. In addition, he serves on the Board of Directors of Bay Area Legal Services.

Mr. Walker was listed as one of Florida Trend's Florida Legal Elite in the area of Health Law, as well as being listed in Florida Super Lawyers in Health Law.
