Matt Foster is a graduate of Ohio Northern University (B.A. 1977, with High Distinction), Ohio State University (J.D. 1980, with Honors) and New York University (LLM in Taxation, 1983). Mr. Foster served on the Ohio State Law Review and is rated (AV) by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. Mr. Foster was admitted to practice in Ohio in 1980 and in Florida in 1983.

Mr. Foster has served as primary counsel in numerous very large sales or acquisitions in the Tampa Bay area such as the 600 million dollar sale of First Florida Banks to Barnett Bank, the 300 million dollar sale of Peoples Gas to TECO, the 175 million dollar tender offer and sale of Plasma-Therm, Inc. to OBH, and many multi-million dollar transactions including the sale of Anchor Industries in Lakeland, the acquisition of ABA Industries, Inc. in St. Petersburg, the acquisition of Nitram, Inc. in Tampa and both the acquisition and sale of Sahlman Seafoods, Inc. in Tampa.

Mr. Foster serves as a general counsel to both large clients and new start-up companies in which he assists such companies in their formation, development and day-to-day legal needs.
