Michael N. Brown was born January 25,1946, in Ocala, Florida and is a life long resident of Tampa, Florida. He attended local schools and was graduated by St. Petersburg Junior College, receiving an Associates of Arts degree in 1966, the University of South Florida, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1968, and Stetson University College of Law, receiving a Juris Doctorate degree in 1971.
Mr. Brown joined Allen, Dell, Frank & Trinkle in 1971. He was admitted to practice with the Florida Bar in 1971 and the United States District Court, Middle District that same year. He was also admitted to practice in the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals (later changed to the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals).
Mr. Brown has concentrated his practice in the defense of insurance, personal injury and wrongful death actions. His practice includes the defense of medical malpractice defendants on behalf of Tampa General Hospital, the University of South Florida College of Medicine, and numerous physicians and nurses on an individual basis. He also has represented the Seaboard Coast Line Railroad and Amtrak Railroad in the defense of railroad crossing accidents and Federal Employers' Liability Act accidents, and related appellate practice. Mr. Brown has also represented physicians and nurses in Florida Department of Professional Regulation and Agency for Health Care Administration matters, and has acted as personal counsel for physicians. |
